The X-Tronic Model 9040-PRO-X Digital 200 Watt Soldering Station is a Very Powerful “Quick Temp” Unit. The Tips are Hollow, Allowing the Ceramic Heating Element to be Much Closer to the Tip. Comparable Soldering Stations are Encased in a Collar, Meaning the Heating Element is Further from the Tip, Causing Much Slower Heating Times. This Unit is manufactured for Soldering Heavy to Medium Gauge Wire. However, it has many other Applications such as Soldering Stained Glass.
This unit Features a Bright White LED Fully Adjustable Temperature Display, a 0 - 30 Minute Sleep Timer with Auto Cool Down Function and is Celsius/Fahrenheit Programmable. The Soldering Iron Features an Ergonomic Heat Resistant Grip and Includes 4 Soldering Tips, a Side Mounted Solder Roll Holder (Roll of Solder Not Included), a Brass & Wet Sponge Soldering Tip Cleaner, a Heat Resistant 100% Silicone Tool/Parts Mat, and a Heat Resistant Soldering Iron Holder.
This unit also Features a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) Technology Program built into it which is commonly referred to as Magic Temperature Compensation Technology. This program cycles every 20 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature of the soldering iron's heating element/soldering tip and quickly corrects it with a rapid return to the correct set temperature. This Magic Temperature Compensation Technology also helps keep the soldering iron at a constant temperature no matter what type of job you are working on. This unit also has a Self Test Function with Full Intelligence on Over-Temps, Short Circuits and Overloads.
